MS 150 Gear Checklist

When packing for the MS 150 use this list below to reduce the chance of forgetting something important!

Essentials
Bike in good working order
Bike Helmet (wearing a bike helmet is REQUIRED for the MS 150)
MS 150 packet which includes bike tag, bib, wristband
Bike Socks (multiple pair)
Bike Shoes if you use them/clip in / otherwise tennis shoes
Cargill Bike jersey (ideally 2, one for each day, if you have a previous year jersey)
Bike shorts/pants
Sunglasses / Biking Glasses
Sunscreen
Lip Balm
Water Bottle(s) for your bike
Bike flat tire gear (tubes, CO2 cartridges, Allen keys/tools)
Wallet / ID / Cash / Credit Cards (in the off chance you need to use a bike mechanic at a rest stop, you will want some way to pay them)
Towel
Toiletries / Toiletries bag (deodorant, toothbrush/toothpaste, hand sanitizer, soap, shampoo, etc)
Prescription Medications if you need them
Pain reliever: Tylenol, Advil, etc
Rain gear
Warm gear (many years it does get cold in Duluth/Hinckley in the evenings)

Useful items
Fresh batteries in your bike computer/odometer if you have one
Bike Gloves if you use them
Phone Mount or Phone Storage on your bike
Flip flops / comfortable shoes for when you aren’t biking
Hat / Cap for when you aren’t biking
Chamois Butter or other anti-chafe creams
Phone charging cord plus USB adapter so you can charge/plug in
Battery power bank for charging phone when not near an outlet
Snacks / Comfort food
Alarm Clock / Alarm on your phone/Fitbit


Camping
Tent (with stakes and hammer for stakes if needed, rain fly, tarp if needed - double check you bring everything)
- If you are unfamiliar with your tent, you may want to practice putting it up in your yard prior to the MS 150
Sleeping Bag
Pillow (inflatable/camping or regular)
Air Mattress & Pump or Cot if you don’t want to sleep on the ground
Eye mask/cover (if you need darkness to sleep)
Fold out chair for sitting near tent
Bug/Mosquito spray
Earplugs (useful for sleeping when camping)
Flashlight and/or Camping Lantern
Battery Power Bank and Charging cord to charge phone
Bluetooth Speaker (if you wish to play music)

For the bus to Proctor
Light snacks
Small cooler with cold beverages of choice
